Few airsoft replicas have achieved the legendary status of the Tokyo Marui MP7 GBB. Since its release, it has become one of the most recognisable and respected gas blowback submachine guns on the market, earning a loyal following among CQB specialists, weekend skirmishers and collectors alike.
Compact, lightweight and incredibly enjoyable to shoot, the MP7 perfectly combines realism with the dependable performance that Tokyo Marui is famous for. Even with newer platforms entering the market, the MP7 remains one of the first choices for players looking for a premium gas blowback SMG.
Built for Performance
Tokyo Marui has never been about chasing the highest FPS. Instead, they’ve focused on producing replicas that perform consistently where it matters most.
The MP7 GBB delivers:
- Excellent accuracy straight out of the box
- Crisp and responsive gas blowback action
- Smooth cycling and reliable feeding
- Impressive gas efficiency
- Lightweight handling
- Superb build quality
It’s a platform designed to perform throughout an entire skirmish rather than simply look good on the workbench.
The Perfect CQB Primary
The MP7 was designed around mobility.
Its compact frame allows players to move quickly through buildings and tight spaces, while the retractable stock and folding foregrip provide excellent control when engaging targets. Despite its small size, the MP7 is equally capable outdoors, offering surprising range and consistency thanks to Tokyo Marui’s excellent hop-up design.
Whether you’re clearing rooms or pushing objectives, the MP7 feels fast, balanced and effortless to use.
Realistic Gas Blowback Action
The Tokyo Marui MP7 delivers everything players expect from a premium gas blowback platform.
Each shot produces satisfying recoil, fast bolt movement and an authentic shooting experience that keeps players coming back game after game. The realistic controls and last-round bolt lock add to the immersion, making every reload feel rewarding.
If you’re considering your first gas blowback replica, the MP7 remains one of the best platforms to start with.
42-Round Magazines Keep You in the Fight
One of the advantages of the Tokyo Marui MP7 GBB is its 42-round magazine capacity, giving players more shots before it’s time to reload compared to many other gas blowback platforms.
At HC2 Airsoft, we stock the 42-round MP7 magazines, making it easy to pick up spares for longer game days or competitive CQB events. Having extra magazines ready to go means less time reloading and more time staying in the action.
Upgrade Your MP7 with the Jaeger Precision NAPS Upgrade
For players looking to push their MP7’s performance even further, the Jaeger Precision MP7 NAPS Upgrade is a fantastic addition.
Designed to improve air seal and shot-to-shot consistency, the NAPS upgrade helps maximise the already impressive performance of the Tokyo Marui MP7. Whether you’re looking for tighter groupings or simply want to get the very best from your replica, it’s a popular upgrade among experienced MP7 owners.
Endless Customisation
The Tokyo Marui MP7 is also supported by a huge aftermarket, allowing players to personalise their setup with accessories including:
- Red dot sights
- Weapon lights
- Suppressors
- Precision inner barrels
- Performance hop rubbers
- Sling mounts
- HPA adapters
- Internal performance upgrades
Whether you prefer to keep it completely stock or build a customised skirmish-ready setup, the MP7 provides an excellent foundation.
Why the Tokyo Marui MP7 GBB Still Stands Out
