GATE ASTER II™ Electronic Trigger Unit

One of the main attractions of the Specna Arms SA-PH20 PRIME™ ASTER II™ ETU is its advanced electronic control system. The GATE ASTER II™ replaces a conventional mechanical trigger contact arrangement with electronic control, supporting responsive trigger operation and programmable functions.

Depending on the configuration and supported features, the ETU allows players to customise firing settings to suit their preferences. Consequently, the rifle offers more flexibility than a basic AEG with a standard trigger system.

Additionally, the electronic system provides useful control over the rifle’s operation. Check the supplied GATE documentation for the available programming options and the correct setup procedure for this particular model.

High-Performance Brushless Motor

The integrated brushless motor is another important part of the PRIME™ package. Unlike conventional brushed motors, brushless designs eliminate the traditional motor brushes, reducing one source of mechanical wear.

Furthermore, brushless technology can offer efficient power delivery and responsive motor operation when correctly matched with the rifle’s electronics and drivetrain. Combined with the GATE ASTER II™ ETU, this creates a performance-focused setup for players who value trigger response and refined AEG operation.

Actual results will depend on battery selection, gearbox configuration, spring strength and the overall condition of the rifle.

PRIME™ Series Metal Construction

Specna Arms’ PRIME™ series is aimed at players looking for a more advanced AEG platform. The SA-PH20 combines its electronic features with a durable metal external construction and a modern M4 carbine layout.

Meanwhile, the familiar AR-15-style platform offers a practical foundation for a wide range of airsoft loadouts. Its carbine configuration is particularly convenient for players who want a rifle that is manageable in confined spaces while remaining suitable for varied skirmish environments.

In addition, the adjustable stock allows you to adapt the rifle’s length to your preferred shoulder position and equipment setup.

ESA™ Quick-Change Spring System

The ESA™ quick-change spring system makes power adjustments more convenient when configuring the rifle for different site requirements. Rather than requiring a complete gearbox strip, the system is designed to simplify spring replacement.

As a result, players and technicians can adjust the rifle’s spring configuration more efficiently. However, always follow Specna Arms’ instructions and ensure that the rifle remains within your site’s permitted power limits.

Any spring change should be followed by an appropriate chronograph test using the BB weight and testing procedure required by the site.

Adjustable Hop-Up and Customisation

The SA-PH20 features an adjustable hop-up system, allowing you to tune BB flight to suit your chosen ammunition. Correct adjustment can help improve consistency and make better use of suitable quality airsoft BBs.

Furthermore, the M4/AR-15 platform offers extensive opportunities for personalisation. Compatible optics, grips, lights, slings and other accessories can help you configure the rifle around your preferred playstyle. Always check mounting compatibility before purchasing additional equipment.

A Versatile AEG for CQB and Skirmishing

Thanks to its carbine configuration, the Specna Arms SA-PH20 is worth considering for players who want a manageable rifle for close-quarters engagements. At the same time, its adjustable hop-up and configurable power system provide flexibility when preparing for other game environments.

However, your final setup should always reflect your site’s engagement rules, minimum engagement distances and permitted power limits.
